High Point College Opened Its Doors in 1924

The institution began as a cooperative effort between the Methodist Protestant Church and the City of High Point before developing into the university students know today.

High Point College opened with three partially completed buildings, nine faculty members and 122 students. The institution later expanded its academic scope and became High Point University.
